  • Application Description:

Connect your Palm device to a desktop just like a usual USB or Bluetooth card reader!

Mobile Stream Card Reader allows to use Palm-powered handhelds as an ordinary USB or Bluetooth card reader for quick and easy file exchange.

    Card Reader features:

    • Great transfer speed (1MB/s)
    • Bluetooth FTP support
    • Background operation support
    • Ability to export multiple slots at the same time
    • Small memory footprint (60KB)

When you connect your Palm-powered handheld to a desktop, the desktop PC will automatically recognize the memory card in the Palm slot as a removable disk so you can easily exchange your music/movies/images/data with the handheld. No installation of additional drivers is required on modern PC/Mac computers.

Please note that you have to install a suitable driver on Windows 98. This Windows 98 driver is known to work.

Great program! Allows you access to card files. You can rename them (try that with palm OS), move them, delete them. Excellent!

This application is jusst what I needed. I changed from my PC to a Mac and was able to use mark/space to replace the clie desktop backup application to sync to the computer, but I was not able to back up the memory stick. There were all kinds of suggestions on the forums for Clie users and Mark/space users, but no one seemed to be able to make MS import work on this model. I was told this was a "limitation" of the software and that was that because Sony will no longer support it. Card Reader solved my problem and made the card mount on my desktop as MS Import should have. I was able easily to get backups of all the applications and transfer movies and music to and from the Clie.

Does exactly what it is meant to. As Palm's don't mount like PocketPC by default, this is a must have.

I apologize, as it seems I mixed up this program with Card Export in my last comment. Card Export 1.x does require special drivers. Card Export 2.x and Card Reader 1.x are seen by Windows as a standard USB Mass Storage device and do not require any special drivers or software to be installed in order for it to work. Sorry for the confusion. If anyone knows how to delete my previous comment please advise.

PCs do not recognize it as a standard USB Mass Storage drive, meaning you have to install special drivers in order for the drive letter to show up in My Computer. Okay if you only use a particular computer, but it won't plug & play if you try to use it on public computers at the library or a cyber cafe, etc.
